Who knew it would be so challenging to get services booked? I suppose we thought that people would just say, "Oh sure come on in!" We're working the system as fast and as hard as we can and really pray that God will open doors for us as we go.
To quote a wonderful man of God, Pastor Clay Glickert, who called itineration "a great purging". What that means is that all of our ideas, expectations, and ways of doing things are not necessiarly God's. He's taking all that we had in our heads and is turning it into what He has in His head and, really, wouldn't we rather have that as ours?
We know we have been called to the nations from before the foundation of the world. God's ways are more than our ways and His thoughts more than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) God told Jeremiah, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Before you were born I sanctified you. I ordained you a prophet to the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5) That's what God has done for us. He has called us, He has ordained us and He has gone before us in provision.
I knew you were going before you did, my beautiful daughter and son.God say this to you. Behold, I have made you a nest in the hollow of My hand, and you shall lie down and sleep. Though the elements rage, though the winds blow and the floods come, you shall rest in peace.
